Trans7 stand with the permission of the Department of Trade and Industry with Tax Central Jakarta 809/BH.09.05/III/2000 with TV7 name sahamnya the most owned by the Kompas Gramedia Group (KKG).

On March 22, 2000 has announced the existence of TV7 News in 8687 as the State Tax PT Duta Visual Nusantara Tivi Tujuh. On 4 August 2006, the Group through PT Trans Corpora official purchase 49% shares of PT Duta Visual Nusantara Tivi 7. With the re-launch on 15 December 2006, the date is set as a birthday Trans7.
